Energy Inspections

The International Energy Conservation Code is designed to meet these needs through model code regulations that will result in the optimal utilization of fossil fuel and non depletable resources in all communities, large and small; modern, up-to-date energy conservation code addressing the design of energy-efficient building envelopes and installation of energy efficient mechanical, lighting and power systems through requirements emphasizing performance.

The U.S. Department of Energy is working to improve the energy efficiency of the Nation’s buildings through new technologies and better building practices. Energy efficient buildings improve the lives of Americans by saving consumers money, lessening our demand for fossil fuels, decreasing the need for new power generation, and reducing environmental emissions.

Compliance Tools:

The U.S. Department of Energy provides support for various energy codes by developing compliance tools that simplify the compliance process. You may demonstrate compliance for both residential and commercial buildings using the software or pencil and paper.

NOTE: When submitting plans for review, please include your energy compliance report. Accessibility compliance through the ADA is enforced as a result of a complaint and litigation.
